History of restorative justice partners, Inc.
1987 Restorative Justice Partners, Inc. (RJP, Inc.) was first introduced into Monterey County as the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP). 1999 A Community Restorative Justice Commission was appointed by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors. 2002 Contract with the Monterey County Probation Department through the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act. |

Merchant Accountability Panel (MAP) is introduced at Northridge and Del Monte shopping centers
2009
RJ in the Schools partners with RJP's first partnering school district
2010
Reintegration Circle Program began with training of local circle keepers
Victim Impact Program provides speakers to local juvenile institutions
2012
RJ in the Schools begins to expand throughout Monterey County.
RJP, Inc. was able to secure resources to sustain the addition of staff to promote and enhance programs.
2013
Strategic visioning of RJP, Inc. Board of Directors led to the opportunity for agency capacity expansion.
2015
As partnerships are developed throughout the County, efforts move toward sustainable and systemic outcomes for those served. Volunteers continue to be the foundational heart of RJP, Inc.
2016
Staff grows and other community partnerships expand to meet increased demand for services 2017
