Our mission can only be realized through a common code of ethics upheld by our officers, board of directors, and staff.

  • We expect responsible action on behalf of the organization and are accountable and transparent to our constituents and to one another. We share information when appropriate without sacrificing confidentiality.

  • We expect fairness to be evident in our actions internally and externally. We are equitable in our decisions and mindful of their impact on other groups and people.
  • We expect our actions to demonstrate our care for others and the community as a whole. We support each other in a humane manner.

Principles & Values
  • Misbehavior is identified as an act against people and the community. Misconduct is an injury which violates people and community trust.
  • The offender is accountable to the victim and to the community. Legal authorities may support the processes to insure accountability, fairness and equity to all parties.
  • Accountability is defined as taking responsibility for behaviors and repairing the harm resulting from those behaviors.   Success of the outcome is measured by restoration of the victim as well as the post-process behavior of offenders.
  • Victims, offenders, and community members are directly involved and play a key role in response to misbehavior.
  • Offenders are expected to take responsibility for their actions and change behavior.  Victims participate in the process of recovering losses and healing from the loss.
  • Misbehavior has both individual and social dimension. Misbehavior is defined by individual choice in a context of conditions which lead to criminal behavior.
